From the vintage poster above you will note that the Locarno Camelia Festival has been going for quite some time now. This year's festival has just been brought to a close - but if you visit any time during the spring months, you'll see these stunning blooms prominently in almost every garden.

From London, there are daily flights to Milan Malpensa - and then it's a stunning drive to Ticino - via Como (hi, George), over the border into Chiasso, then Lugano and then onto Locarno and Ascona. All in an hour and a half maximum 2 hours. If you are not flying from London, just let us know and we'll direct you here the quickest and easiest way.
